Childhood has changed. The notion of kids roaming around neighbourhoods unaccompanied by an adult is not a current practice of the childhood landscape - but this type of ‘free play’ is often incorrectly associated with what nature play is. Childhood can thrive in the absence of roaming ‘free’. This session will unpack what a nature-rich childhood looks like today, its benefits, and how it can be incorporated into everyday teaching and learning.
