In 2021 Play Australia continues to embrace our role as the peak national organisation for play in Australia by improving benefits to members and delivering increased play advocacy through our national campaigns. To support improved engagement with our members and networks, we are building our online presence and reach by delivering increased online training and webinars, our digital engagement across email and social media connections, and improving our website to provide regular and specialised communications. Feedback from our Member Survey indicated a strong desire from members to participate in more local face-to-face network/PD opportunities. This has no doubt been exacerbated due to the continuing lockdowns due to COVID over the last 20 months. We know that our State and Territory Branches/Networks are best placed to facilitate these kinds of opportunities whilst the activity of the National Office needs to continue our growth online. Consequently this leads to a much bigger discussion about defining more clearly the roles and responsibilities of the States and Territories, and the National Office. So this is where we need your input. Please read the Discussion Paper for Members below.
We are asking for your input regarding:
- What should our state branches look like?
- What should they do?
- What supports are needed?
- Who should inspire local activity?
